Darjeeling is a hill station located in the northern part of West Bengal, India. It is situated in the Lesser Himalayas at an altitude of 2,134 meters (7,000 feet) above sea level. It is approximately 80 kilometers (50 miles) north of Siliguri, and is bordered by Nepal to the west and Bhutan to the east. Darjeeling is known for its tea plantations, stunning views of the Himalayan mountain range, and diverse cultural heritage.
